San Rafael Jungle River Tour
From Coco Beach Island Resort we take the boat east, passing beaches you usually never see… passing the lighthouse.
After one hour sailing, we suddenly see the mysterious San Rafael river flowing to the sea. We swim ashore and go
to the village wher we shall borrow their paddle banca. Then we paddle up and down the river, and look for the place
where our guides are preparing the lunch!
Here we shall have a picnic at the riverside - some satay and salads, and some fruits.
Then we paddle up river again, and later just down to the sea. On the way back home we make a stop at the Bulabod to swim again.
The San Rafael river tour takes place the whole day every Monday. Contact us for tour rates.
Villa Escudero
This is a different and exciting excursion, and one which very few Filipinos have experienced. It takes all of two days (Thursday to
Friday), starting when we board colorful jeepneys that take us to an old Spanish hacienda, the renowned Villa Escudero. During this
three-hour visit, we brouse through a strange museum that houses the curios collected by generations of the Escudero family - including
a shrunken head from the highlands of Luzon! We also wade in a small waterfall and may take a swim in a small lake.
Then we're on to the province of Pagsanjan for an overnight stay. The following day we go canoeing up and down scenic rivers, teeming
with exotic jungle life, and experience the great power of waterfalls.
Puerto Galera
On Friday afternoon we organize a tour of scenic Puerto Galera. The tour culminates with a drink at Coco Point ( also owned and operated by Coco Beach Island Resort).
Shopping aficionados can spend the rest of the afternoon browsing through the town market, and take the banca ride back to the resort.
The adventurous ones can try trekking through the jungle back to Coco Beach.
Beach Hopping Saturday
This whole day activity takes you to the various beaches that distinguish the area and has made it a nature holiday. We sail to the
east and visit Laguna and Sabang, where there are more bars and discos, and where the nightlife is a bit rowdier and wilder. Then we
swing westward toward the last known beach in the area, Talipanan. We take a walk to the popular White Beach, the favorite spot of
young people and "old hippies." We stop at Bayanan Beach to build a bonfire for our picnic, then have lots of time to swim. On the
way home, we pass by Haligi for more swimming.
Calapan Tour
On Sundays we offer a whole day tour of rustic Calapan, the capital of this province. It's a three-hour ride from Puerto Galera,
cutting across scenie views, and calamansi plantations. Prepare yourself for a rather rough ride, but perhaps the bargains and
discoveries at the great market in Calapan will make it worth the bumps! We have lunch at the Star Café, the proceed to our
Sunday showcase - the cockfight!
Board Games
For those who would rather conserve their energy, there are assorted board games available from the game room
